Environmental Education Centre
Mogale's Gate EEC is a specialised environmental education centre situated on a beautiful game farm in the picturest Magaliesburg area, Gauteng, and are very accessible to most visiting schools.
This unique facility offers professional, yet, affordable Environmental Educational Day Trips to school groups during weekdays (Monday to Friday).
Please note that this facility is not open to the general public.
The habitat in which the centre finds its self, is mixed bushveld on the southern slopes of the Witwatersrand range and the Hekpoortspruit originates on the reserve.
Recently the existing building has been converted into a classroom and display area. The display focusses on the environment and illustrates the many different factors that make up and influence the environment. The building is used only in extreme weather conditions, or where the syllabus requires it, as 90% of the time the kids are outside, experience the veld.
The aim of the centre is to take our youth back into nature and to educate them about the environment, its magic, its preservation and conservation.
